Hubble Finds Stars That 'Go Ballistic'

An American Astronomical Society Meeting Release

January 7, 2009: Resembling comets streaking across the sky, these four speedy stars are plowing through regions of dense interstellar gas and creating brilliant arrowhead structures and trailing tails of glowing gas. The images will be presented today at the American Astronomical Society meeting in Long Beach, Calif.
